Dear Members, I was interviewed late last week by a reporter with CBC News regarding a piece they were doing on green burials. We would be interested to hear from members on their experiences surrounding green burial. Have you had conversations with families about them? Have you had call to do them? Any funeral professionals who are planning on attending Herman's funeral on Saturday and wish to be part of the Honour Guard are asked to contact Patrick Curry at [email protected] or 902-863-2984. There are numerous groups needing special seating, and so accurate numbers are important. PLEASE NOTE: Though the Mass itself is scheduled for 11:00am, there will be a eulogy for Herman that will commence at 10:30. As such, all funeral professionals are asked to be at the church at 10:15am on the day of the funeral.

Visitation for the late Herman Boudreau will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Thursday, February 20th from 7-9pm, Friday, February 21st 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 22nd at 11am at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat with Rev. Michel Exalant presiding. Following the Funeral Mass, a reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 150 in Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Society or to the Pay It Forward Angel Fund. Herman's obituary can be found on the C.H. Visitation for Charlie will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ritchie Robinson officiating.
