Frank, the wise crack'n, cigar smok'n Pug from MIB (the first one...you know, the good one).
A nod to the prohibition days. Happy 420 y'all!
Yori of Tron (1982). 11"x17", ink, marker
Years before Baby Yoda gripped the nation, I made a pic of mid-life Yoda reading to Gizmo. This was a best selling art print for some time, and launched a hybrid of mash-up fan art that I absolutely love doing :)
Feeling this Friday needs more barbarians, vampires, rubber sharks, and talking animals :)
An old drawing from my sketchbook. Must'a been hungry when I drew it.
Original page, with preliminary inks (later coloured and separated).
"You wanna get nuts?! Let's get nuts!" I saw Batman 5 times at the theatre in 1989. It was kind of a big deal. And it was the Lego Batman video game that got me into Lego. Presently it's the only brand I collect in Lego. This was the first Lego themed art piece I made, which really got the ball rolling.
These published comic books are printed with "blank" covers, giving artists a chance to design their own. I receive them as commissions, and absolutely love drawing them. I don't work for a major publishing company like Marvel or DC, but with these variants I can pretend I do!
Did this cover just for fun. I've been posting others on Facebook/ ComicBookSketchCovers
Some original art cards from a KONG trading card series a few years back.
I did a few commissions recently...homages to classic comic covers. I know most artists hate "lettering", but I don't mind if it helps complete the scene. It's like drawing people...only with no heads, bodies, or appendages. Thanks to Scott Alexander and Blake Gruszie.
Lego Robin...done by Robin. ( It's a Robin thing. )
Rogue of the X-Men was practicing social distancing before it was cool.
The spectacular spectrum Spider-Man. Taste the rainbow.
