May 5, 2021 Due to the increasing number of occurrences of people: 1) not showing up for their appointments; 2) cancelling/rescheduling their appointments last minute; 3) changing their mind in regards to what they booked in for; 4) not showing up at their scheduled appointment time; 5) not being able to provide proof of current vaccination for the vaccinations I require (for dogs); 6) not following COVID protocols, the following changes are in effect effective immediately: ...If any of the above occur you will be charged for the cost of the appointment scheduled. In regards to bullets 4 6 service will be refused and you will still be charged for the cost of the appointment. I have always had a fee for people who don’t show up or reschedule/cancel the appointment with less than 24 hours advance notice; however I have rarely charged it. This said, when people book appointments the time is reserved for them and all efforts are made to ensure we are ready to fulfill our end of the deal (staff is here, products ready, bath drawn,.). When people do the things mentioned above not only do I not get paid; but I am also out of pocket as I still have to pay the staff. I simply can’t be expected to run a business under these conditions anymore. My time and effort is just as valuable as everyone else’s. Since COVID started there has been a huge upswing in people doing these things. Many of whom don't make any attempt to contact me despite the fact that confirmation emails/texts go out 2 days prior to their appointment (for existing clients - as new clients haven't completed the paperwork) stating that they need to contact the salon if they need to cancel/reschedule the appointment(s). I am sorry that it’s had to come to this and that the actions of more and more people have made it harder for everyone else. See more
Looks like pet groomers are still allowed to be open. As such we will be operating in accordance with the protocols indicated in my post on April 8.

Mr Milo suffers from skin issues which make him very uncomfortable. Despite this he is ever so sweet to work with. Such a love bug!!!
Ok, based on the current COVID-19 Response Framework - now that Leeds and Grenville is in the green zone (as of Tuesday, February 16). We will be able to offer regular grooming starting this upcoming week (the salon will be closed Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th). I am grooming all day today and have several people to respond to; but I will. I also have urgent cases booked in to get thru. Animal services Services that are permitted include: Veterinary services and other ...businesses that provide for the health and welfare of animals, including farms, boarding kennels, stables, animal shelters and research facilities Businesses that provide services for the training and provision of service animals Businesses that provide pet services, including pet grooming services, pet sitting services, pet walking services and pet training services For the full link see - https://www.ontario.ca//covid-19-response-framework-keepin As always, dogs must be a minimum of 4 months old and must be up-to-date, with proof of current vaccination, for the following three vaccines: 1) Rabies; 2) DAPP/DAHP; and 3) Leptospirosis. The first 2 are considered to be the "core" vaccines. Lepto is considered to be an "optional" vaccine and is typically given separately on an annual basis.
Wishing my friends, family, and clients a Happy Valentine's Day!!
