Today's #FusionFestiveFeature goes to The Joshua Group. The Joshua Group is a volunteer organization in Saint John that serves 150 at-risk youth by providing them with basic necessities. They are working to instill hope for a brighter future. They provide meals, transportation, clothing and gifts to the kids and they do so with the donations of others in our community. This year, The Joshua Group is looking for donations to support their operating needs. If you would like to donate Sharon Walsh at 647-9929.

What's more festive than Christmas trees? The YMCA of Greater Saint John is selling them! 100% of proceeds from tree sales will be shared between the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign and the Saint John Newcomers Centre Scholarship and Newcomer Assistant Funds. If you are still looking for a tree, consider supporting these two charities. The Y is only 3% away from achieving their annual goal of $425,000 for Strong Communities - help them get there by buying your tree!... All trees are sourced from local maritime tree farms and range from 6-8 feet in height. Purchase your tree for a donation $25, or contribute a little extra to help buy a tree for a family in need. Trees will be sold at the Irving Oil Field House at the following dates and times: December 10 20 4:00 pm 7:00 pm on Thursday and Friday 11:00 am 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday

As a small restaurant and bakery in the heart of Uptown Saint John, Ethel & Mary's focuses on celebrating the food culture and history of New Brunswick, while supporting local agriculture. Having just opened their doors this year, they've navigated through many obstacles. ... "We were so lucky during the pandemic, we never closed," explained Abby Smith, General Manager. "Our shop is very little, we only have 10 seats, so we took the seats out and quickly pivoted to take-out only. Our small team hustled and took the opportunity to listen to our community to make sure we were serving it!" And the community stepped up in a really big way. "Our regulars bought gift cards and offered truly touching words of encouragement. We owe our customers everything," Abby said.
