I'm honoured to be emceeing an open house for what is soon to be one of Canada's first fully self sustaining green neighbourhoods in the Cedar area of Nanaimo. ... The public is welcome to attend this Thursday from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Cedar Community Hall, 2388 Cedar Rd., and lend their input. What's really wonderful is that this project grew out of an Earth Day event I produced for www.CreativelyUnited.org called Creating Resilient Green Neighbourhoods and proves that anything is possible. I've been involved since, producing this video with my photography, and the websites for both partners of the project: www.futuresforward.org and www.greenplan.ca, where more details can be found. I hope to see lots of familiar faces there and reconnect with great folks like author/public speaker Guy Dauncey and various sustainability experts and community-minded islanders. See more
