CALL TO ACTION for FVEPA Members: Recently the City of Abbotsford commissioned an RFP to gauge market interest in the Fraser Valley Trade & Exhibition Centre (TRADEX) and what the best use of the property would be. As Event Professionals, many of you have likely hosted an event or exhibited at an event held at Tradex - Trade & Exhibition Centre, and will agree it is an important event venue in our Fraser Valley community. With over 120,000 sqft of flexible event space, plus o...utdoor exhibit space, TRADEX is a unique venue that hosts everything from large trade and consumer shows to charity galas. Tradex is home to some of the largest shows in Western Canada. Events like these will be critical to rebuilding the Events Industry, and Abbotsford’s visitor economy, post-pandemic. We are asking FVEPA Members to add their voices to the conversation, and to support our fellow FVEPA Member, Tradex, to communicate to Abbotsford Mayor & Council and to the City of Abbotsford that Tradex is an important event venue in the community and a valuable revenue-generating asset. What can you do? 1 Write A Letter Of Support Write a letter of support to the City Mayor and council to showcase the value of events and Tradex to the Abbotsford community by Friday, April 9th. Submissions can be sent to [email protected] and to [email protected]. 2. Get Involved On Social Media Please follow and engage with @FVTradex posts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter as they highlight the importance of Tradex to the community and to all the different shows that bring thousands of guests into Abbotsford every year. 3. Complete the Event Fact Sheet distributed by Tradex. If you are a client of Tradex, you likely received an event fact sheet via email in the last couple of weeks.
