Happy Vaisakhi! Vaisakhi is a traditional harvest festival in northern India, and also commemorates the birth of the Khalsa. The farmers celebrate their happiness on this day, and thank God for the abundant harvest of the wheat crop while praying for future prosperity. Please join us to celebrate Vaisakhi, and enjoy an exciting Bhangra performance by the wonderful dancers from Shan-E-Punjab Arts Club, an award-winning academy. This festival holds a great significance for S...ikhs as their 10th guru, Guru Gobind Singh, laid down the foundation of the Khalsa Panth (Sikh community) on Vaisakhi day in 1699, and gave the titles Singh (Lion/Prince) and Kaur (Lioness/Princess) to Sikhs.
