Many years ago, during the early years of my career, I was told I was too intense and too personally invested in my work. Being young and naïve, I took the feedback to heart and tried my best to tone it down. Very quickly I realized this is not who I am as a person and one can only ‘fake it’ for so long, so I switched back to being my authentic self.
