People pleasing might not sound all that bad. What’s wrong with being nice to people and trying to help them out or make them happy? People pleasing generally goes beyond just being nice. You are altering words and behaviors for the sake of another person’s feelings or reactions. You might go out of your way to do things for the people in your life, based on what you assume they want or need. You give up your time and energy to get them to like you. This is how people pleasin...g can cause trouble. The urge to please others can be damaging to ourselves and, potentially, to our relationships when we allow other people’s wants to have more importance than our own needs. Sign of this may be: -Low opinion of yourself -You need others to like you -It’s hard for you to say NO -You apologize or accept fault when you aren’t to blame -You struggle with authenticity -You’re a giver -You don’t have free time -Arguments and conflict upset you How this affects you: Part of having relationships with others involves taking their wants, needs, and feelings into account. These often come from a place of concern and affection.When trying to put other needs before yours usually means you neglect your own needs and feelings. Where does this all come from? - Past trauma - Self-esteem issues - Fear of rejection How to overcome this? -Show kindness when you mean it -Practice putting yourself first -Learn to set boundaries -Wait until you’re asked for help -Talk to a therapist People pleasing might sound like a nice thing, but it doesn’t do you or your loved ones any favors. You have to make those sacrifices if you want a change in your life... People always say to me, I wish I looked like you, how did you do it, I could never do it. I could do it because I was sick of feeling like crap 24/7 and not being in the best moods all the time because I never knew what was wrong. You can do it you just have to stop telling yourself you can’t.... People always like to blame other things than the actual problem. We try and avoid it and keep telling ourselves no its not that.. & all you are doing is making things worse because you’re not going to the root cause of the problem. If you want to see a difference in your life, attitude, eating habits & moods you have to recognize what needs to be altered and to do so. There’s nothing wrong with making changes in your life to better YOU. YOU will be 10x more happier and you will be able to enjoy life more freely! Recognize what isn’t working in your life and start slowly by changing it ... You will notice a difference and you will notice a shift in your life! Ingredients 1/4 cup fruit puree 1 cup plain Greek yogurt 1 tbsp honey... Instructions 1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Puree the fruit combination of your choice with a food processor or high speed bender. See fruit puree combinations below in the notes. This recipe makes 1 color of bites. Repeat for each color/flavor you would like to make. 3. If you'd like to remove the seeds, use a fine mesh strainer. 4. Add pureed fruit, yogurt, and honey to a small bowl. Whisk to combine. 5. Pour mixture into a quart-sized zippered plastic bag. Using scissors, cut off a tiny bit from one of the bottom corners. 6. Make tiny bite-sized dollops of yogurt, not touching each other on the baking tray. You can make these as big or as little as you'd like. One color will fill a full baking tray. 7. Place in the freezer for at least 1 hour to set. Store in a freezer safe airtight container or bag for 1-2 months. Only bring out the portion you would like to snack on as they will melt once removed from the freezer. Notes This recipe makes 1 color of bites. Repeat for each color/flavor you would like to make. Here are the exact measurements of fruit puree for different flavors: Red: cup strained, pureed strawberries (about 1 cup of strawberries) Orange: cup pureed peaches (about 1-2 peaches) Yellow: cup pureed mango (1 large mango) Green: cup strained, pureed green grapes and green pear (1/2 green pear, handful of grapes and a few pieces of spinach) Blue: cup pureed blueberries (about 3/4 cup of blueberries) Purple: cup strained, pureed blackberries (1 cup of blackberries - you need more because you need to strain them). Other Notes: One color will fill 1 baking tray. Nutrition calculation based on strawberry puree. Other flavors will vary based on fruit used. Depending on the fruit and your preference, some of the purees need to be strained with a fine mesh strainer before adding to the yogurt mixture. This is way to accurate, and a lot of people do it. A lot of people don’t realize what junk there actually putting in themselves. People are trusting these products that there a healthy option but there’s nothing good about it at all!! Do yourself a favour and take the time to read what is in your food and products. Stop worrying about how many calories you need to have for the day and start worrying about what you’re putting in your body. You’re trusting products that say... No sugar added without even looking at the nutrition information. If you want to make a difference in what you’re putting in your body and you want to start feeling better again you have to put in the work and start putting the right stuff in. Do the research and take the time to do what most matters for your body. 1st thing I am doing is lowering my sugar intake and artificial sweeteners. Increased amount of sugar can damage your gut and you will crave more sweets.
