Have you noticed the intricate circular design used around Boom + Batten? Our #boomstory this week highlights the story behind our 'wayfinder' design. The 'wayf...inder', designed by local artist Charles Gabriel, was crafted with the intricate use of stainless steel and glass. The stainless steel aspect of the artwork references a navigational tool, or a ‘way-finder’ (the ancient mariner’s sextant). Since we are a waterfront restaurant located above the shoreline, Charles included a tidal pool motif within the design. The 'wayfinder' was created to celebrate the possibility of a more symbiotic union between nature and technology, by using visual elements from both into a singular harmonious aesthetic. See more
