Hey world - a couple of updates for you: 1. Progress on the Reservoir The end of both construction and funding are in sight! Drop by anytime to admire the project and be ready for temporary but serious rerouting of traffic as major areas of the Commons are dug up for pipe laying. Funding for the project is close, but shy of the $50K needed to fully build the 25,000 gallons container for water needed to relieve the pond and its protected species and assure yields of foods b...eing grown by individuals and the Farm Team. Please consider a donation - and THANK you Gabriola for all your support to date. COVID-19 Phase 3 at the Commons: Buildings closed, grounds open. The Commons buildings remain closed until further notice in keeping with the BC Centre for Disease Control requirements and Commons limitations of space, monitoring, and resource management. All Commons indoor facilities are closed, except for very restricted use of the kitchen. All outdoor spaces (including the Timberframe) are available for enjoyment and small gatherings on a first-come basis and we trust that personal cleaning and distancing protocol are observed. COVID-19 Phase 2 Announcement The Commons buildings remain closed until further notice in keeping with the directives of the BC Centre for Disease Control. This affects Farmhouse, Workshop, Pottery Space, Goat Barn. Use of the Community Kitchen is restricted; contact [email protected]. Outdoor spaces are available for everyone’s health and enjoyment. Commons Coordinating Council meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm will continue to be held by Zoom. About a week prior to each meeting, Team Representatives will be sent the pertinent link and instructions for joining the meeting.
