A near miss! . On Sunday morning a local resident did everything right. Upon smelling smoke in their home, they first got their family outside to safety, then called the GVFD before investigating themselves. Turns out some flammable items in the bathroom got a little too close to a heater, and thanks to the quick response of the resident and the GVFD, a structure fire was narrowly avoided!
