April is the last chance to remove gypsy moth eggs from trees before they hatch and caterpillars eat their leaves. Help us by scraping the eggs off into a conta...iner like Timea from our forestry team using a paint stick or butter knife. Soak the eggs in soapy water for a few days before throwing them in the garbage. Crushing them or scraping onto grass or gardens won't kill them. See more

Signs of life are certainly popping up everywhere as we enjoy these unseasonable temperatures. Hope everyone has been able to enjoy some time outside!! Remember as we are tempted to start raking and cutting back in the garden, it is still very early and I’m sure we have some cold nights ahead of us yet. Leaf and perennial debris in our gardens shelters bees and other beneficial insects and if we can hold off another couple of weeks that can make all the difference for them. #springincanada #gaiasgardens #helpthebees
