I haven’t been painting during this pandemic. This collage was started in March and sat unfinished until September when I finally got motivated again.

"IF THOU HAST BUT TWO PENCE, USE THE ONE TO BUY BREAD AND THE OTHER TO BUY HYACINTHS FOR THE SOUL." Those who support the arts and artists are buying hyacinths... for their souls. The artist lives for and loves to create in whatever form seems true to the self. Those who love what is created, spend time with artworks, listen to the music, attend the performances, support the doing and making and the makers in whatever way they can, enrich their own lives. When we invest time and money in order to bring art into our lives we become an essential part of the creative process without which the arts cannot thrive. An act of art is incomplete until it is acknowledged and valued. See more
