Whitney Montgomery, artist in residence at Galerie Luz, since January 2021 Exhibition from March 24 to April 3 exposition du 24 mars au 3 avril 2021 www.galerieluz.com Currently studying Fine Arts at Concordia University, Whitney Montgomery is most interested in creating large-scale satirical propaganda, taking inspiration from old magazines and archived advertisements. Whitney reflects on current social and political happenings through the lenses of past decades, highlighting both the novel and archaic absurdities within contemporary ideologies. Étudiant présentement en beaux-arts à l’université Concordia, Whitney Montgomery est principalement intéressé par la création de propagande satirique à grande échelle, en s’inspirant de vieux magazines et de publicités archivées. Whitney examine l’actualité sociale et politique à travers l’optique des décennies passées, mettant en valeur l’absurdité de certaines de nos idéologies contemporaines
