WEEKLY FEATURED ARTIST: PATRICK PRIMEAU Born in Montreal, the glass artist Patrick Primeau worked for various workshops in Canada, in the United States and in F...rance, following his studies at Espace Verre. Back in Montreal in 2004, he co-founded Welmo Glass Studio with Caroline Ouellette. His innovative designs, inspired by Venetian techniques, have earned him a place in various collections such as those of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. I've been putting birds onto some of my larger pieces over the years. I've started working on a new flock of them. Working through the process to #flamework th...em out of #softglass on my mega minor torch. These are meaningful forms, each one unique in the flow of the process and representing the inspiration and support Daniel Crichton gave to so many. Lifting them up and helping them soar into the world. Encouraging the dreamers to dream and to help those that couldn't. She graduated from Espace Verre in 1999, where she... learned glass blowing, sandblasting and polishing. The artist tries to capture the beauty, harmony and contrasts found in nature in her sculptures. She participated in several solo and group exhibitions across Canada and the United States and her works are held at the Contemporary Museum of Honolulu, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
