Saturday Market Day Harbour to Harbour Market Crawl this Saturday from 10am-1pm! For one last horray to Summer, all our curbside vendors will be open together one more time this weekend before some of us close up shop for the Season!... After Labour Day weekend, the new Community Farm Stand and a few of our vendors will continue to open up for business on Saturdays, please inquire with each vendor individually! NEW this weekend: The COMMUNITY FARM STAND will open up at location # 5 & 6 (The Shack), where ALL Gambier Islanders are invited to sell their homegrown produce (fruits, veggies, eggs and honey) to the Community. This is a complimentary service for all Islanders, created to preserve our Island grown produce and reduce food waste. For everyone interested in selling their goods, please drop off at location #5 on Friday’s between 3-5pm! Also happening this Saturday: ANAVETS will be set up with Deborah and Barbara at Location #1 & 2, taking registration for Island Resident Youth for book certificates and bursaries. Enjoy a delicious lemon square and one of Barbara’s Gourmet Lattes while shopping for Deborah’s beautiful Lavender products! AND, if you didn’t get the chance to grab one of Meghan’s stylish Gambier Island T-Shirts yet, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase yours this week at a special price! Opening this Labour Day weekend: The Gambier Community Farm Stand The idea is to offer a FARM STAND for all Gambier Gardeners, Farmers and everyone who wants to sell their excess fruits, veggies and other produce from their gardens to the Community but is unable to attend themselves! The Community Farm Stand will open Saturday, September 5/2020 (Labour Day weekend) at location #5 and #6 (The Shack) and continue every Saturday during the Gambier Harbour Saturday Market Craw...l until the end of the season on October 10/2020 Thanksgiving weekend. This service is available free of charge to all Gambier Island produce suppliers. How it works? Bring your cleaned/ trimmed and ready for sale produce to Sylvie at the Ice Cream Shack at Gambier Harbour on FRiDAYS between 3-5pm. Together we will weigh your offerings and determine the price. When you pick up the unsold goods, we weigh again and you will be paid what has been sold. No costs to you, no fees apply! Message us if you have further questions or simply drop off on FRIDAY between 3-5pm Everyone is welcome to participate!
