‘Tis the season... to support water defenders! Over $100 worth of products in this sampler and the starting bid is only $25. Love Lavender // Water is Life!
Sunnycrest Mall, Gibsons 14/12/2019
A little something I've been working on. Wild harvested Douglas Fir resin (from lightning-split trees) infused oil, organic beeswax and Rosalina essential oil (a milder alternative to eucalyptus). Good, gentle clearing for nasal passages and sinus. A Gambier Island gentleman alerted me to the tree and kindly allowed the harvesting of the sap.
Been ages since I posted. Work work work! Exhibiting at Gibsons this weekend, product update very soon! Thanks for your patience
Seriously amazing Lavender/Cassis truffles by Art Meets Chocolate, featuring 2016 lavender oil from our fields- just WOW!
All set for a fun weekend at John Henry’s Marina & Resort with our hand harvested and homemade goodies!
A little bit Jane Austen, quite practical, fragrant and pretty! Lots of handcrafted sachets in different presentations to protect your pantries and private things. You did know that moths dislike lavender, right?! John Henry's Marina & Resort Christmas Fair!
To be more specific. This is the market where I will be showcasing my lavender and lavender-based products, along with the wonderful Art Meets Chocolate.
Very excited to be exhibiting at this year's Christmasevent, along with Art meets Chocolate --Gambier Islanders represent!
Folgate showing the love. Finally, the plants are maturing and beginning to come into their own. A little alchemy, and herb matter turns into gold.
First distillation of the week... 1.5 kilos L.angustifolia Hidcote in Copper, steam.
You might want to think twice before putting undiluted essential oils on your precious skin: there’s power in the flower!
What is this? This is the popular salve that helps stop bleeding, seals skin, and promotes healing from cuts and abrasions. Clients use it on chapped skin, cold sores and on irritated membranes. Great for diaper rash! The active ingredient (and what gives it that amazing colour) is Jatropha cinerea, a plant that grows in difficult conditions at the tip of Baja California Sur. The locals call it Lomboy. Twice yearly we source this endemic plant friend and transform it with avocado oil, beeswax and a touch of tea tree oil. It should be in your medicine chest or first aid kit. Don’t go hiking without it!
Lavandula angustifolia "Melissa" a lovely white/pink variety
Hello...bonjour...hola! Welcome to my new project. You may know me from Baja Botanicals, a bioregional curative plant project in Los Cabos. Now, I've moved to an island in the Salish Sea, just north of Vancouver. I am cultivating lavender and other bioregional medicinal herbs. The focus is again on transforming these wonderful plants into products that improve our lives... from tending cuts & bruises to improving quality of sleep, to the appearance and health of skin. A big shout out to old friends, and a welcoming virtual hug to new ones!
