The Gander Women's Centre and KIRA worked on beaded orange shirts in acknowledgment of Orange Shirt Day which is held on September 30th. Orange Shirt Day is the day when we honour the Indigenous children who were sent away to Indian Residential Schools in Canada. Special thanks to the Mi'kmaq women who teach us these crafts and let us learn from them.

#4 If you know someone who has experienced violence, one of the most important things you can do is Listen, Believe and Support. Community support for individu...als who have experienced violence is vital. There are many places, groups and organizations in our communities that can help provide support to those that need help, assistance and guidance. In this next challenge - What’s Behind the Sign you need to identify which community organization/group/place is behind the sign. The logo’s and buildings have been disguised, so look carefully!! Name all 5 places for a chance to win our Family/Friend Fun Night prize package! ( picture in comments). Good Luck and no worries if you get some wrong - you will still be entered for the prize!
