Finally got some time for so.e updates on the Z. I now have read brakes lol got the cables and levers un seized with help of my buddy kevin and put the new wheel cylinders and shoes in feels great not worring about locking up the front in the rain lol. Also got a random stroke of luck trading the other rims for some watanabe wheels with a small spacer I'm able to use them but will be putting studded spacers in 25mm at some point.

Project Z : restoring a 1978 datsun 280z that's been sitting for 25 years. Side note seller said oh just fire sure start in and she will run lol definitely not the case. Got the car for an okay price only 3 spots on the car are rusted where it needs to be cut out and rewelded.... So far its has been brought to our shop at evolution auto performance where it will be going over a fast rework and to get it running so I can get it out over the holidays. Purchase list so far: New brake master New clutch master New clutch slave New good set of injectors New very good condition fuel tank New thermostat New thermostat gasket New valve cover gasket New brake booster New oil filter and oil 5w30 pennzoil New fuel filter New fuel pump New fuel pressure regulator New fuel lines New cap and rotor New spark plugs New ngk wire set (All of these have been purchased because they where to far gone to fix and remember seller siad it would run with just cranking it wish ethanol. I have his post that I screen shot of him saying that lol) So far I have removed the fuel tank cuase it was full of rust and beyond repair taken off old fuel lines and fuel pump, removed fuel rail replaced the regulator and injectors that where all plugged full of the fuel lines that had internally disintegrated. Removed the thermostat only to find crystals of coolant....awesome cleaned it out replaced t stat and put a new gasket on after polishing the crap out of the housing. Removed the valve cover and cleaned and painted it. Replaced all spark plugs wires cap and rotor coil still fire strong woooo finally a part I dont have to replace. Put new booster and went to bleed brakes looking in the master dried up and crystalized...... . . . Here we go again put new one on. Go and press the clutch and nothing happens like pushing on air look inside oh wow it has fluid aka is shot internally....replaced. Soon to put new tank back in and put together the fuel setup hopefully she will start up once all back together :)

Well that was an adventure. Did a pull the other day and 2nd gear blew up! Found a tranny in a few days for a ka. But my tranny is a ca and they are shorter so had to cut and weld the drive shaft cut the shifter hole bigger and move my e-brake. After it all was mint am very happy and now can use sr and ka trannys.
