Very proud to be supported by the Joe Strummer Foundation in the UK. This is the official charity set up in Joe's name following his death in 2002. It's purpose... is to support projects around the world that promote the musical education of children. Please look through their awesome website and maybe show your support by buying some Merch. I will be setting up a special fundraiser under the Foundation's banner of "Strummerjam", a celebration of Joe's birthday in August. Stay tuned... See more

I'm starting to gather my teachers together and my studio will be ready soon. I'm hoping to open in October. It's happening. Thanks to all who have liked my page.

So, I'd like to announce that I've found the perfect venue for Garageland Music. It's, ironically, a garage on Gibson Ave. in the east end of Hamilton. It's on a residential street with the building just tucked in behind a house. We believe it was built in the late 19th Century and is all wooden floors and beams. We take possession July 1st. Lessons should be available in September. The drums and other music stuff pictured here were purchased for $300 from a neighbor and will be used for lessons. The money spent on this purchase was from the $3000 raised from the door at the 13th annual Joe Strummer Tribute at This Ain't Hollywood in early April. Thanks to Lou Molinaro and Glen Faulman for their generosity.

Thanks to Julian Yewdall, who took this pic of Joe, for "like"-ing my page. Very cool. Check out his book A Permanent Record. It's a book with many pictures of Joe and the early English Punk scene.
