We are not yet quite sure what form it will take, but Wonderment will celebrate its 6th edition this year, taking place over the BC Day long weekend (July 30-Au...gust 2)! We are hopeful for at least daytime in-person park events and online evening presentations, and evening ticketed shows at other venues may be added if event restrictions are eased between now and the summer. The safety of our Artists and Audience is paramount, so we will adhere to the Provincial Health Orders and CDC Guidelines of the day, whatever those may be. Our Call-for-Artists is open and we are interested in hearing your creative pitches for both live performances and creative video presentations. All manner of ambient and electro-acoustic music is welcome, from world beat to shoegaze... as well as downtempo, leftfield bass/ deep dubstep, ambient techno and deep house. Wonderment's focus is on live electronic music performance, so we are not accepting submissions for DJ sets at this time. Artists impacted by COVID-19 can now apply for a special grant program from the BC Arts Council. The PIVOT program assists professional artists, cultural practitioners, and arts administrators to adapt and transition their practice in response to changes in the arts and culture sector or undertake learning activities to sustain or advance their career.

One positive thing for the pandemic, kids have had loads of time to perfect their craft...

We've been blessed to have enough funding supports to pull off two festivals, six days of seventeen live performances and sound art installations, including three in-person events this summer. The pandemic has impacted some of our revenue streams, such as providing sound services to other festivals which couldn't happen due to the pandemic.
