Hand sewing the binding on another quilt this morning; which is a perfect activity since the power is scheduled to be out for the next several hours. Thankfully I thought ahead and made the coffee and put it in a thermos. #happysundayeveryone

Doing rock-paper-scissors to see who does the dishes. This might take way longer than just telling one kid to do the job..... Willy was the loser.

Is there anything that screams "It's Spring!" more than a clothes line full of fresh washing?! We've waited so long to hang out our laundry and let Mother Nature do all the work. And let's be honest, there's nothing as great as the smell of laundry dried on the line! And did you know your reusable cloth pads and underwear LOVE being hung out on the clothes line? The sun gets them nice and dry, and also helps to "sun bleach" out any stains you might have on them. Remember, you must put your pads away only when they're completely dry or else you're giving bacteria a chance to grow on the pad. A good drying on the clothes line prevents this from happening. Save electricity. Save your investment. Hang your pads out to dry!

Today we busted out of the house and treated ourselves to a KFC picnic and walk in Peterborough's awesome Jackson Park!

Khrystos Voskres! (Христос воскрес! ) - which is Ukrainian for "Christ is risen - Truly He is risen!" It's literally the only Ukrainian I know, but the sentiment it contains is a happy and joyous one that my mother would always greet us with on Easter morning. What a lovely way to start the most important day of the year! I've been quite here on the ol' socials these last couple of days because I've been baking up a storm, putting carpet on my stairs in anticipation of Easte...r company, and going to the various Easter services of the week. Once again, because of forces beyond our control, things are not as they have always been but still we will find a way to mark these special days. To everyone out there, I hope that you're well and are able to enjoy this special time of the year. Happy Easter!
