Well our new bathroom is done! It still has the large 6" all tile, with dual shower heads and the heated floor. We have added a washer/dryer combo, a new vanity with a built-in hamper, lots of storage and a vessel sink on quartz countertops. What do you think?
We have just started on Garden Suite Bathroom Reno. Here is how it looks now. We will post the new look once we are done at the end of January hopefully.
We can hear the sea lions barking on the docks in Cowichan Bay from the garden every time we go outside. They make quite the show!
We are booked solid for November in the Garden Suite. Who knew people travelled in November in BC. One it a family of 3.
I love this red colour of our Sugar Maple in the backyard for fall. The only downer is that I know we will soon be racking all the leaves on the ground under it.
Our beautiful Smoke Bush next to the covered patio has turned a coral pink now with the fall weather upon us. I have just finished digging up my dahlias and put them to bed for the winter as well.
It's Officla! Our Garden Station Air BnB is now a SUPERHOST! I guess all our guest like staying with us! Thank you everyone!
These are new to our garden. They are fall crocus that we planted last fall and are coming up amid the wave petunias.
This yellow/gold dahlia has made these saucer sized blooms for about a month now and they just keep coming.
Our garden is bursting with fall colours from our new dahlias. I especially love this coral coloured one.
Here is our day bed which we add when we have a third guest in the Garden Station Suite. The room has a door on it as well so it is private.
Benji was captivated by the trains running in Grandpa's railway when he was here to visit this month.
Our Grandson loved watching the trains run in Grandpa's garden!
We have some beautiful fragrant roses in the front of the house that are apricot in colour and are out right now.
Our train aficionado guests like to visit the BC Forest Discovery Centre here in Duncan to check out their collection of trains and the kids just like riding the full size one that pulls them around the large park. Open now Thursdays to Sunday.
John has suggested putting a guest book into the suite so we did just that! It gives the guest suggestions for local attractions, where to get groceries and who to call in an emergency. Our guest leave there names and comments for us. All good of course!
We have added a working water wheel and mill to the garden railway. We love the extra movement it gives the garden.
John has the steam engine loaded so now here it is running through the garden railway. You can actually see the steam puffing out of it!
John is getting one of the steam engines ready to run with one of our great guests looking on!
There are 3 operations to setting up a Garden Railway steam engine to work on the tracks.
Here is our newest pink lilies in bloom!
I can't believe how beautiful the smell these bright white lilies have. They are next to the roses but have a much stronger fragrance.
We have a beautiful Golden dahlia that has just started to bloom. Just love the size!
One of the great fun activities are guest are enjoying is tubing on the Cowichan River. The Tube Shack is in Lake Cowichan, about 1/2 an hour drive from here and it is a great all day activity. Take lots of sun screen!!!
We run some of our garden railway trains for our guests on request. Our visitors this day had a son who just couldn't get enough of the trains.
John has just as good a time as the guests when someone really likes him to run his steam engines. Coming down Daylily Bridge!
Watching the steam engine go puffing by, one of our Air BnB guest really enjoyed watching the trains run.
