"Many of us turned to gardening for solace during the pandemic. Now Martha Stewart and Drew Barrymore want to guide us to green thumbs."
Ummmm, so I just saw that there is a HUGE sale on Garden Alchemy right now on Amazon.com: one copy is 47% off and a second copy is 50% off that price! I checked it in the cart and that means that one copy is $12.15 and the second copy is $6.07. For under $20 you get 2 copies - one for you and one for a friend. 15 years ago, when I started to tell people that I was gardening as rehabilitation, it surprised me to hear how many other people turned to plants for therapy. I guess I should have expected it, but so many folks have shared stories with me about the massive changes that gardening has made in their lives to heal cancer, loss, chronic pain, mental health. Gardening healed me, but you certainly don't need to be in a place of pain or grief in order to discover the therapeutic... benefits that come from gardening! I never knew the pleasures of gardening until I needed it. But long after I began to feel better, I kept up with it. And every time I am feeling sad, grieving, or even in physical pain, the garden has always been there for me. No matter where you are in your healing journey, I believe everyone can benefit from the garden and its therapeutic properties. If you’re just getting started, my friend @shawnacoronado, and author of the Wellness Garden, was kind enough to share with me five easy pieces to design a wellness garden: https://gardentherapy.ca/design-wellness-garden/. It's a wonderful book and I encourage everyone to get a copy! . . . . . #greenthumbs #gardenlife #gardeningtherapy #growsomethinggreen #smallgarden #happygardener #instagardener #girlswhogarden #mygardenthismonth #ilovegardening #holistic #hollistichealth #bodymindsoul #gardentherapy #cdnblogsquad #spoonie #plantnerd #greenthumb#holisticlifestyle #immunehealth #mindbodyconnection #wellnessadvocate See more
