4-H Scholarships

The Port Haney Artists-in-Residence invite students to submit short poems on the environment for a chance for their texts to be included on temporary signs that will be installed throughout the city during an outdoor exhibition this summer. From observations about the environment, sustainability, climate action, and conservation to thoughts about the natural beauty in your own neighbourhood, the goal of this project is to share a community in conversation on a dynamic and important theme. SD#42 Interdisciplinary Arts Academy at Garibaldi Secondary will hold auditions for the theatre production Legally Blonde on May 12, 2021. Time slots can be booked via email or a video can be sent to: [email protected]. Rehearsal times will be Tuesday/Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Academy credits range from 4 to 16. The production date for Legally Blonde is November 2021.

The Pathway to Teacher Education scholarship is awarded to 20 outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated a commitment to and aptitude for a career in K12 teaching. Recipients receive a $5,000 scholarship voucher that they can redeem with the Ministry of Education after they are attending an approved K12 teacher education program at one of B.C.’s nine Faculties of Education.
