What a hectic,unsettling,unprecedented year. At last, we are at the end of 2020, and the holiday season is upon us. While we settle in and enjoy a calmer and simpler Christmas, let’s just take a deep breath and reflect on the year soon to be behind us. 2020 wasn’t all bad. I saw a lot of positives. We became more hygienic with frequent hand washing, responsible sneezing and coughing. We were more respectful of each other’s personal space and property, we travelled less thus r...educing traffic and pollution. We were spending more time at home, engaged in more dinner conversations with our kids and more family game nights. We were becoming more tech-savvy as we turned to online/virtual calls. We were developing an even stronger relationship with our neighbors as we extended a helping hand and engaged in frequent over-the-fence conversations. We become more appreciative of hard working essential service workers at our local grocery stores, retailers, including truck drivers and more; whom’s hard work often goes unnoticed. Lastly, we are reminded of how small businesses are an important fabric of our communities; and become aware of how hard small business owners work, and how much we miss them when they are not around. Unfortunately, 2020 did rob us of loved ones, friends and even idols. To those who are grieving I express my sincere condolences. May you with time and prayers rise up strong knowing they are at a better place and cherish the wonderful memories. With a number of breakthroughs in vaccines, we will soon have less burden on our shoulders and we’ll soon form crowds in local eatery, pubs and streets to celebrate humanity’s latest perseverance and accomplishments (and maybe another NBA title or... a Stanley cup in TO). That future is near, so let’s remember it as we make 2021 a kick-ass year. Lastly, I’d to express my sincere thanks to all the people and families who entrusted me and my team with their real estate needs. I am truly humbled to be part of your journey, and I am ecstatic of our friendship. I would also like to express my gratitude to fellow realtors, mortgage professionals, photographers, home inspectors, and lawyers that I had the pleasure of doing business with.
