I knew early on that my character required me to work with people in a direct way. From my earliest days in the video store helping customers pick the perfect film for their Friday night to working with students at the McMaster Medical School as they tried to diagnose whatever physical or mental disorder I had been trained to simulate. Selling cars even gave me the opportunity to practice building connections in a context that was sometimes adversarial. Nothing has come clo...se to the rewards of working with clients as their financial adviser for the last 25 years. I interact with individuals, families, and business owners daily who share financial details they would not likely reveal to their closest friends. You also share your hopes, dreams, and fears. Thanksgiving is an appropriate time to let you know how much I appreciate the trust you show in me and to express my deep gratitude for the relationship I am privileged to to have with you. This has been a challenging year for most of us, both personally and professionally. I am working to sustain our bonds in new ways and under ever changing circumstances. Almost everyone I know has had to update their personal "operating system" to manage our new reality. Broughton Financial is continuing to serve you while building new technical and administrative capacities through collaboration with other experienced professionals in the industry.
