One set of rules for Justin Trudeau’s friends - another set of rules for the rest of us.
Today is Red Dress Day, and we need to remember another pandemic that is clutching our nation. Indigenous women and girls are disproportionately at greater risk of going missing and being murdered within Canada. Violence within the home has only heightened during COVID 19. Today is a call to stand up for Indigenous women and children. Initiatives like the Moose Hide Campaign are taking a stand against violence towards women. You can too.
Great conversation with Geoff Gay, CEO of Athabasca Basin Development. Indigenous owned investment companies like Athabasca Basin Development provide jobs and financial security to communities across Northern Saskatchewan.
Thank you Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce for hosting my Saskatchewan colleagues and I yesterday.
A phenomenal documentary that highlights the importance of the Great Plains grasslands across the Prairies. It tackles the misconception that eating beef is part of "the problem", when really it really is the solution. I don't know about you, but this makes me even more proud to be from Saskatchewan!... May 3-9 is mental health week in Canada. Running, watching sports (specifically the Leafs), talking with friends and family members, participating in a faith community are just some ways to manage mental health. Remember, mental health, just like our physical health, is something we need to make sure we’re managing well. If you’re struggling, reach out. You’re sick, not weak - millions of Canadians struggle every day with their mental health. No matter how dark things may seem, there are people who care about you and are ready to help.
