If u are not going to get fitted for irons properly or alter the settings once analyzed by a professional. Your shot dispersion will be like the picture shows. I think hunters call that buckshot!

The Markham Golf Dome and my Golf School are now open again with physical distancing in place and hand sanitizers available for your use. So the main thing in the lessons is that the student and the teacher stay at least 6ft apart. See u at the range!!

Tips for Practice this Spring If you want to improve quickly, practice like you play. Here are some scenarios you can practice to resemble your real life golf rounds.... -Practicing your pre-shot routine with each shot -Visualizing then executing the different shots: draws, cuts, knockdowns, lobs, etc. -Vary your distances and yardages using your new variety of shots and clubs. Hit it high and watch the ball flight. Hit it low and notice the difference on how your ball behaves with your trajectory. -Practice various lie positions including: uphill and downhill, ball above your feet and below your feet, poor lies, etc. -Practice in varying weather conditions: rain, wind, and other adverse conditions. Remember adversity builds character. -Practice putting left to right, right to left, uphill and downhill -Finesse your ability to read the greens -Practice varying levels of speed with your putts -Practice a specific putting routine, just like your course pre-shot routine -Apply new breathing techniques and relaxation methods -Start each session with a physical warm up which prepares your body for practice or for play -Experiment with different swing tempos and watch the difference in spin that is created with your ball. A faster tempo creates more spin. By Body for Golf

By using the Gcquad to assess Mike’s lie angles for his irons, we determined that the clubs as they were, did not fit him. They were 10 degrees too flat. So we went to work and started with a good setup and change of balance. In one session we have it down to 3 or 4 degrees still flat. Next week we will have to change some of his swing patterns to fix the rest of the 4 degrees flat.

This is a great drill to create a more online solid contact path for your irons, rather than an inside out chunking/thinning path. Alignment rod just inside the club head.

If you forward press your hands like this and use a strong style grip you will hook and top a lot of iron shots. Driver will just block slice to the right.

If we line the speed trap slightly left it helps to fix hitting fat with an inside out swing.

Golf Warm Up by Body for Golf by Susan Hill According to a study produced by the British Journal of Sports Medicine, a dynamic warm up can have a significant impact on your clubhead speed. In fact, following a study conducted on 20 golfers of matching gender, age and handicap, it appears those who performed dynamic warm up stretches as opposed to those who did nothing before play, clubhead speed was increased by over 24%!... Studies similar to the one just mentioned have shown that the best way to warm up just prior to a round of golf is through the use of dynamic stretches. Dynamic stretches are those that keep the body in constant motion. They are not stretches which you hold for 10, 20 or even 30 seconds. These are stretches you hold for no more than 1 to 2 seconds and keep your body temperature warm with fluid movements. To your best golf, Body for Golf

Congratulations to Krtin Udith, who has been awarded a golf scholarship to Millsaps College in Jackson Mississippi for fall 2019. Great work bud! After all these years of working on your game, it's starting to pay off. We will work on your swing with the GC Quad Launch Monitor for the next few weeks and get you ready for the spring tournaments.
