Our organization specializes in flatwork concrete construction such as sidewalks, aprons, barrier curbs, curb & gutters, floors, and stoops. We are involved in such projects as schools, hospitals, commercial retail units, neighborhood redevelopment, and new subdivisions in the city of Edmonton and surrounding areas. A vehicle to get to and from work is required as we do projects in newly developed areas where buses are not an option. A typical day at Gateway Builders includes: Safety Orientations and Meetings. Set forms for the construction of slabs, sidewalks, and curbs. Install and compact gravel. Carry and tie reinforcing bar. Place and finish concrete. Other construction-related tasks. Compensation: $18-25/hr depending on experience Full benefits Overtime after 44 hours. Qualifications (Must-Haves): CSTS ticket Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation 5 years experience in construction Must pass drug and alcohol test Must obtain a security clearance certificate Must have own basic tools (hammer, punch, nail puller, chalk line, plyers, imperial/metric measuring tape) Additional Qualifications (Can help you get the job): Skid Steer Operating Concrete Finishing Forklift Operating Commercial Driving If this sounds like the job for you, don't hesitate and apply today!

Operate power tools and other hand tools Other construction-related tasks. Qualifications: Class 5 license Knowledge and experience with City of Edmonton specifications 5 years of experience finishing concrete Read and interpret blueprints Starting wage is dependent on experience and ability and will range from $26-36/hr. Performance review and wage increase after 3 months of employment.
