Are you a positive, detailed person with an interest in woodworking? We are seeking a full-time candidate for our small, custom cabinet shop. We utilize advanced machinery and both powered and manual tools. Some responsibilities include (but are not limited to): manufacturing products; sorting, packaging and transporting of materials and products; sanding and finishing work; assisting the team in operating machinery; and other activities as instructed. A successful candidate would be able to work independently, be willing to adapt, be good at following directions and be able to accurately read and use a tape measure. Are you interested in home design? We are currently seeking a detail-oriented candidate for a Design Assistant position to enhance our Sales and Design Team. Duties include (but are not limited to): assisting designers with cabinetry pricing, producing simple design renderings, uploading images to showroom slideshow for client meetings, maintaining and organizing showroom samples, and purchase order entry. An ideal candidate would have a basic knowledge of home design, and be... a self-motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing and basic math is necessary to be successful in this position. Experience in Cabinet Vision or other cabinetry rendering programs is a bonus, but training will be provided. We offer competitive hourly wages and opportunities for advancement. Bryce joins Gateway with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, over 20 years of manufacturing experience, and a keen eye for improving processes. He has been a passionate small business owner since 2013, and loves building and supporting great teams. Living in North Kildo...nan with his wife Nicky and two kids (Willow and Ollie), Bryce is an avid runner (with 5 full marathons completed so far), a voracious reader, a rec league hockey enthusiast, a proud foster of over a dozen pugs and other small dogs, and somehow found time to bring his Winnipeg Jets jersey (#GoJetsGo) to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro!
