Christmas plastic reducing tips.
So much sanding! Each board undergoes a lot: planer, industrial sander, then 120 grit, 150 grit, wetdown (shocking the grain) then 220 and another wet down/grain shock and 220 again and finally 400 grit. That's 7 sanding steps. Then on to 3 coats of non-petroleum, food-safe hardening oil finish. No wonder our boards are so touchable and hold up so well! ... I am telling my arms and shoulders that it is worth it. See more
5 feet of charcuterie anyone? Our biggest Gather Co. board went to good use this past August at the wedding of our son Eli and his loving partner Danielle on our property here in Errington,BC! No one went hungry that's for sure! Thanks to Elyse Anna Photography who did an artful job of capturing the day. We are now gearing up and prepping serving and cutting boards aplenty for year 3 of Vancouver's huge 2019 Circle Craft Market. Come by and see us. However, we won't be serving 5 feet of snacks this time in our 5x10 tiny booth-home.
