Private George Stonefish served during the First World War on the Western Front. He is one of several Moraviantown reserve residents who served in the Canadian Army during the conflict. George Glen McGuire was a former employee of the Chatham Daily News. He enlisted in 1941 and participated in 14 raids over Germany. In a letter to his mother, Glen reported that he was in good health Cheer up mother, I’ll be home soon.
