The contensious issue about gay rights in the Gambia only proves one thing that these desperate useless gambian politicians will use a topic that does not affect the gambia or the gambian people or even move the country forward to cause chaos and divide the people. Good Leadership is not about dividing people but uniting people for a good cause. Rwanda a bigger country than gambia went from Genoside to most developed country in africa while Gambia a tiny country sitting on 43...61 square miles which is mostly peaceful manages to be the poorest country in africa. JUST THINK ABOUT THIS. These Gambian politicians have NO substance, No plans and NO ideas towards how to fix the issues in the gambia and they have no clue or intentions to move the country forward so i would like to personally apologise to all the Gambians who are struggling to get clean water and good medical services, also to the gambian student who cannot study at night because there is no electricity and to the gambian youths who desperately wants to help their family but cannot find any means of employment. You all deserve better. To the gambian politician do you know most of the gambia's revenue comes from Tourism and half of tourists who visit Gambia are gay so WHY are you using their money if this issue is so important to you. ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS. See more

"I AM AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE," SAYS MAI FATTY! Former interior minister Mai Ahmed Fatty has made his stance known over gay marriage in the Gambia, Gambia News can report. The Gambia Moral Congress' leader's comment followed his weighing into what's fast becoming a never-seems-to-be ending debate on Gambia becoming a secular state. The subject is one of the most discussed in various platforms, social media included amid belief Gambia turning into a secular state as per new draf...t constitution could open doors for gay marriage. However, Mai Fatty isn't afraid of stating his position, went ahead with quite bluntly. "Each of us must be bold enough to articulate where you stand on national issues. Honesty must start with yourself. We cannot continue the politics of deception. Yes I am for a non secular state. Religion is a personal affair. Muslims, Christians and other faiths share equal sovereignty. I will never impose my religious views upon any one, and I will always defend freedom to worship. "Yet, I believe if it ain't broken, don't try to fix it. I am also strictly against gay marriage. Marriage should be between a man and a woman, period. These are two positions that are non negotiable for me. It is for each Gambian to decide where you stand on these issues. I have received too many inquiries as to where I stand on these two matters. My position on them is crystal clear," he said. See more
