What if - we dared to dream. That was the topic of a pastor, who against the odds, started an addictions and rehabilitation centre in Los Angeles. In Central Alberta, there is a common theme of hopelessness and helplessness. From rural crime and being afraid in our homes. For seniors who are afraid of the future of being separated from loved ones. For parents concerned with the future education of their children. For struggling businesses and watching businesses mo...ve out of Alberta at record rates. To the unemployed and watching our children move to the US for work. For all of us, the increasing tax burden, taking money out of our pockets and the day to day struggle of just putting food on the table. What if - we dared to dream. On rural crime, it is already happening - we talked about GPS anklets - we are already organizing with one of the rural crime watch groups to be able to provide GPS anklets to the local police and courts to just start addressing the repeat offenders. To demanding choice and a voucher for funding for seniors and personal care homes so that they don't have to be separated and can have the option of living in a home in their own communities. To demanding equitable and fair funding for parents so that they have the choice of where and how their children are educated. What if - together we can and will rebuild Alberta. That is my dream and why I dared to put my name forward as a candidate for the UCP nomination for the Innisfail-Sylvan Lake riding. Thank you for taking this journey with me. See more

On Rural Crime. There seems to be alot of confusion about federal and provincial responsibility when it comes to crime. If you want to change the Criminal Code and sentencing - then discuss this with your federal MP. The provincial government, and your MLA, have NO authority, and can't promise or make changes in this. Provincially and locally we can and will ask prosecutors to request GPS tracking as a condition of probation and parole two separate things. Sentencing and the Criminal code are all Federal jurisdiction.

Have you filled up on gas lately? On every litre of gas we are paying $.28 tax which adds up if you live out of town and have to travel everywhere just to get the basics. For many school districts, the carbon tax added on to fuel taxes, is forcing them to have to consider laying off teachers. Carbon tax vs. the education of our children....No school should be forced into making this type of decision because of a government that puts ideological tax ahead of children. Never mind the added cost with the carbon tax on heating buildings and turning on the lights in schools and hospitals. So don't be too surprised if you see larger classrooms and longer waitlists....
