Gracie Barra Laval 22.10.2020

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, we have no choice but to follow the health authorities guidelines and suspend the classes at our school until there’s a better understanding of how this pandemic will affect us on a local level. Our school will be closed from March, Saturday 14th until Sunday 22nd. We will keep you posted on our social media channels if anything changes. Important to note that we did not have a single case among our students. But even though we are all yo...ung and healthy, we can still carry the virus and pass it to family members and friends that are older and can suffer if affected. It is not easy for us to take this decision but we believe it is the best thing to do for our community in order to avoid a a health crisis. See the graph above to understand how this preventive actions can ensure that our hospitals accommodate an orderly increase in the number of cases during this outbreak. On a positive note, China, once the epicentre of the disease, now is seeing fewer cases every day, mostly coming from abroad; Only 5 new cases in a country of 1.4 billion people. Which tells us that as disruptive as this situation currently is, it is temporary and very soon we will be back at living our lives just like before. To make the most of this down time, next week Gracie Barra will give FREE access to our online classes; where you can find videos for our all programs. Our instructors will also be available for privates during this time, so if you're interested, just send us an email at [email protected]. If you have other questions, please contact us by e-mail. I’ll miss Jiu-Jitsu, and hanging out with you all. I’m sure you will miss it too but unfortunately this is the only sensible thing to do right now. See you on the mats (soon enough I hope!).
