Tomorrow, May 1st, marks National Principal’s Day. We want to acknowledge, celebrate, and thank all the principals and vice-principals who lead our Grand Erie schools every day! Our principals and vice principals play an important and rewarding role in shaping the next generation of leaders and making lasting contributions to the strength of our public education system. Today, and every day, we should recognize and thank our principals and vice principals for their hard work and commitment to our students, our staff, and our school board.

Today is National Day of Mourning. On this day, we take a moment to remember and honour those who have been killed or injured on a work site. We invite everyone to join us as we pause to remember those who lost their lives at work. #DayofMourning

With renewed focus on air quality, we're pleased to have partnered with Mohawk College's Climate Change Leaders program to retrofit Brier Park and Paris Central public schools with new air purification technology - a partnership that brings hands-on learning opportunities for students as well! With approximately 17 per cent of Grand Erie’s more than 26,000 students opting for online learning this fall, the Board has created a centralized Virtual Academy to serve the unique needs of students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 with online learning.
