Today, November 20th, is the Transgender Day of Remembrance. Rogers tv partnered with Gender Journey Brant to honour trans and gender diverse people that have been murdered in transphobia hate crimes. Each year, many memorialize the victims of these heinous crimes through candlelight vigils, marches, parades and film screening. The COVID-19 pandemic has limited the ability for members of the community to gather and Gender Journey Brant wanted to find a way to pay tribute to those that have lost their lives. They’ve created a community art exhibit, along with a documentary sharing their own experiences living as trans people in Brant.
