Life always gives you challenges intertwined with blessings. We just have to flip our reaction at times so we can accept them. I’m back at it with my trainer for the last three weeks after dealing with a family emergency. I was training with my trainer virtually while away, but nothing compares to real equipment at the gym. I’m back. Better than ever. Focussed and with clearly defined goals. And to the men who say at the gym loud enough so I can hear them, oh this should ...be good when they see me lifting - keep watching. Keep commenting. It doesn’t add salt to my wounds, it adds fire to my soul and drives me to my goals even faster. This needs to be a conversation with a lot of people - especially men. What is fit? It’s not always petite or small women who are fit, so be careful how you judge women who have goals. Your whispers in the gym are often my favourite blessing in my day. Keep them coming. Not gonna lie - today was an emotional rollercoaster, but I am choosing to put myself in the front row! I posted notes around the house to remind myself why to stay out of the fridge and cupboards and also affirmations on my bathroom mirror. I was challenged by @thpcoaching to delete toxic relationships. Had a virtual workout with @alesha.rehabfitness. I was reminded how far I’ve come - a year ago, I could not lift my hips off the floor without excruciating pain. Today I did sets of exercises without going to floor - and on one leg. Consistency, determination and patience!
