Missions update! Bailey passed on an awesome testimony from Matt McKay who is serving with YWAM in Australia: Cool story about sowing seeds and reaping the harvest! I’ve been going to the skatepark every Friday night for about 4 years now. When I do, I hang out with the locals, build friendships, and talk about life with people. These actions help them to see that I am friendly and available for a talk about anything at any time, including any God related questions. Over the ...years I’ve had some awesome conversations and prayers, and have been faithful to listen to what God asks me to do. A few weeks ago, a couple of guys I skate with came into the Boardstore and one of them was going to set up a new skateboard. When he was looking over his options with his friend, he realized he didn’t have enough money to buy what he wanted. I felt a tug from the Holy Spirit to help him out, so I bought him a new deck and some bearings. He was blown away. Stunned at the generosity he’d just experienced. As I was setting everything up for him, the Holy Spirit moved again and asked me to share why I had done what I did. I told him that I had done it because I felt like God wanted to show him how much he cared and watched over him. He immediately wanted to know more, so I got to share the gospel with him. I could tell he was taking it very seriously, and when I asked him at the end if he wanted to accept Christ as his savior, he said yes! As we were preparing to pray, his friend stepped into the conversation and asked if he too could invite Christ into his life! It was an incredible moment of God bringing to fulfillment the work that he had been doing through me for years. Totally worth it. We have now started a Bible study and are working our way through the New Testament. They are hungry for the word, and it’s starting to spread to the whole friend group! Pray that the hearts of the skatepark continue to be softened. See more

What is a book club, you may wonder? One reads a book before the date and we get together and discuss questions about the book. It’s actually fun and a nice way for us to connect

We are happy to announce the restart of Kids Church on Sunday, Nov. 22nd for children ages 1-8 years old. We are asking families to register their children for Kids Church by contacting the church office via email, [email protected] by Friday each week. Jacky will need 1 volunteer each Sunday to help with the kids. If you are able to volunteer please contact Jacky @ 250-649-9197 to let her know which Sunday you are available to help. The format will be that the children will be with their parents during worship, and then be released to Kids Church in the lobby at TNW. If you have any questions regarding Kids Church restart please contact Jacky Hallson.
