Dear Nova Scotians, I was a bit discourage by all the added restrictions we will be having for the next four weeks. Then I was reminded of how much Nova Scotians care for each other. Despite the strain these restrictions can add to our daily lives, I know that most of us will follow them. And you know why? Because of LOVE. This province never cease to amaze me by how each one genuinely care and love their neighbour. It's that same love that makes us strong, Nova Scotia strong. Can't think of a better place to be in the midst of this pandemic. Sending lots of love to everyone <3

Happy Wednesday! Hang in there guys! We made it halfway through the week. Now that my husband is back to work full time (we were lucky enough to have him taking a parental leave), it's me and the two girls ALL. DAY. LONG. I find that having a routine and a week planned ahead helps me to stay afloat and feel more confident about this "stay-at-home-mom" job. Because yes, it is a lot of work. Raising those little (or big) humans brings it's own load of challenges and doubts, but by the grace of God, we all live to see another day. Any other SAHM here?

As 2020 is coming to an end, I am feeling so many emotions. I know that I am not the only one and I am here to remind us all it’s ok to feel it all. It’s ok to shed happy and sad tears as 2021 will roll in at midnight. It’s ok to feel relief or uncertainty as to what this new year will bring. It’s ok to feel it all guys! So the one thing I will wish us all for this new year to come is PEACE. The peace that comes from God. The peace that doesn’t get shaken up by any winds or storms coming our way. The peace that makes my soul say it is well. The peace that will make us stronger, even more united and caring for one another through the ups and downs that 2021 has for us. So when the clock strikes 12, take a deep breath my friends, and let peace in

Guys, when there is no wind by the beach (how often does that happen anyway?!?), the mosquitos are ridiculously brutal... We definitely left our session with a lot of "itchy souvenirs", but the best ones have been captured through my lens. #wortheverybite

The fog... This pandemic is kind of like a thick fog to me. We can't see much further what the future will hold for us. So, what do we do? We stick together. We hold our family a bit closer as we walk through it. But remember, when the sun comes out (and it will my friends, it will!) the fog lifts as well. Will be facing lots of uncertainties in the next few weeks as schools reopens or even maybe our province reopens to the rest of Canada. But remember, we have to stick toget...her, that's the only way we will get through it. Be kind to one another, respect everyone's decision and lift each other up. Hey guys! I’m Gen, the one being the lens. I remember this day where my good friend and sometimes assistant @lriley55555 took these pictures of me. I was turning 30. I was (and still am) excited about it. I heard a lot of women tell me that being in their thirties rocked. At that time, I am pretty sure I was also expecting my second daughter. Couldn’t have imagined what this year would bring in my life (a pandemic?!?). So, I thought I would share with you a little bit more ab...out myself... 1. I am French... half Quebecer, half Belgian. If I have a weird way of saying things, you now know where it’s coming from 2. I love animals. And maybe know too much about every little species but that’s the teacher in me! 3. I don’t put condiments on my hotdogs (unless maybe an extra bbq sauce). I know, I can hear all of you saying Really?!? I was a pretty picky child growing up and never got over the unfamiliar taste of condiments. 4. I have a dog and her name is Chanelle. She is a mix of golden and Labrador retriever. She is turning 11 years old this summer which I think it’s getting close to 77 in human years. 5. I LOVE Nova Scotia. Even though it’s not my home province, I feel at home here. It doesn’t mean I don’t get home sick from not seeing my family more, but the beauty of this land never cease to amaze my soul. That’s it for tonight folks! Mini beach sessions are magical... let’s book one together

She fell in the cold Atlantic ocean’s waters. I kept telling her not to run into the wave, but wait for it to reach her. She learned that evening that the ocean is powerful. She only had water up to her ankles, but the sand disappearing quickly under her feet as it was pulled back by the tide was enough to make her lose her balance and fall on her back. She was surprised, but mostly insulted and then cold. Sometimes life throws at us unexpected things. It’s as if someone pull...s the rug right from under our feet and we stumble and fall. The shock makes us lose our breath and we gasp desperately for some air to reach our lungs again. We are out of breath, for what it seems like an eternity, but really only a few seconds. It’s then, pass the shock of it all, that we decide if we are going to cry or laugh about it. But mostly, every time, we have to find the strength to get back on our feet. That’s what Flo did: she cried as I helped her get back up and then we laughed together about it. Mostly, she still saw beauty in the thing that made her fall. I met little Ellis when she was about 4 months old. Today, I had the privilege to see her again celebrating this big milestone of turning one year old. My heart was full of joy at the sight of seeing how much she had grown since then, but it also felt a bit nostalgic as I know how fast time flies. Parents, hold your child close to your heart tonight because tomorrow they will amaze you with something new <3
