I was curious about tourism restarting globally and found this recent blogpost. It will be interesting to see how this evolves until we have a vaccine. So many economies rely partly or heavily on tourism to survive, but of course keeping everyone safe means new normals. https://www.traveloffpath.com/countries-reopening-their-bo/

We have a new group for talking about past trips and talk about future ones! We usually archive a private cruise/tour group a year or so after the trip has passed. A few folks have asked we could leave them up so they can stay connected with their fellow travellers and new friends they made. What we think would be easier to manage (instead of multiple small groups with some duplicate people) would be to create one collective group, for all the geocachers and snuggle muggles w...ho have ever travelled with us or have enquired about travelling and haven't been able to commit yet. We can talk about future travel ideas, our own, or shared ones, and reminisce about our past adventures. Here is the link. There is a skill-testing question to answer... we hope you all get it right the first time. Sorry it took so long to create this group, but I guess it took a virus before it rose to the top of our list! THE LINK: https://www.facebook.com/groups/630938401086766/ See more
Just a quick note to let folks know that the Alaska Cruise this August has been cancelled by Princess Cruise Lines and they have cancelled the entire Alaska cruise and land tour season this year. We have posted in the group to let the cruisers know, and Tara has also sent everyone emails. All funds paid are being refunded.
Tomorrow (Thursday) at 9pm Pacific Time, on the Caching in the NorthWest podcast, Chris and I, along with Jay, Chris and Jim will be talking about travel and GeoTours! Watch LIVE and be part of the 'studio audience' in the chat, or catch the replay on your favourite podcast app.
Hey intrepid travellers! Check out this Caching in the NorthWest contest and make sure to follow the instructions to enter to win! Landsharkz are sponsors of the podast so we donated a coin and tag set from the recent cruise... only 75 were made!
The Caribbean cruise leaves in a few weeks and we're looking forward to leaving Vancouver Island's winter wind and rain storms behind!

Have you ever wondered what we do on sea days? Chris and I, along with Roy, create opportunities for our group to take part in some organized fun and games, plus the cruise line has a minute by minute itinerary of activities to tempt you. One thing for sure, you can never be board with all the entertainment offerings, or you can curl up with a book or rest and recharge. Thanks to Jay and Laura for this great ‘sea day’ theme video. Yes, it really is this much fun! https://youtu.be/JdRS12qdvUg
Kittykatch from Australia was a guest on GeocacheTalk with stories about her trip exploring Europe, before and after joining us on our recent Mediterranean cruise. Also, listen in to learn about upcoming Australian mega events. Thanks for the shoutout Kittykatch! https://youtu.be/tLrmEHWKbLs
