George Zimbel's Photography

On George's blog post there are many photographic nuggets of wisdom. His post from July 2014 in memory of Magazine Editor Bob Stein is a case in point. George says "I learned from his assignments that an "ordinary" subject could lead to seriously interesting photographs ." In the post George talks about the New York poker games that used to be such a big part of the life of an artist. His poker games had many photographers and magazine editors. George wrote this advice for new collectors in 2007. His point is that you can collect what you love or you can collect history. He suggests collecting what you love.
