Slowly and safely we are starting to get ready for the regular (hmmmm, maybe not "regular") season. Our adult women's league will start on Monday Oct. 5 and registration opens Sept. 1. There are changes to the game to keep you safe and the new rules will be on our website soon.

The Board of Directors, Management, and staff at George Bell Arena have your safety as their number one priority. To that end the arena has been closed since March 13, 2020 and will remain closed until the City, with direction from Public Health and the various levels of government permit us to resume operations. The landscape of team sport will be drastically changed, and we are working, with the City of Toronto and Public Health, on establishing protocols to ensure appropri...ate safety measures are in place when we do re-open.There is so much that is unknown, but what we do know is, safety comes first. All summer programs and private rentals have been cancelled and the Arena has been closed to the public since Mach 13. While we hope that the arena can be safely re-opened sometime this summer, there is too much uncertainty at this time to set a date. We appreciate your patience as we navigate the complexities of this closure and will endeavor to update all our valued clients as protocols and procedures are made available to us. When we receive confirmation of a re-opening time frame from the City and Province, we will be ready with new safety measures and procedures to ensure, to the best of our ability, the safety of our users and staff. Many changes will be involved, and we will make these known in advance. These changes which may include the number of rink users, dressing rooms and available services, are for the collective safety of all. See more

The ice is gone and the doors locked but we are hard at work making the arena clean and pretty.

Sami Jo has played at our arena and she even brought the Clarkson Cup with her.

Sad, sad day. The rink is closed to all rentals tonight. A wee leak in the roof which will be fixed asap.
