Looking back at an amazing year full of small, intimate weddings It was such a blessing to be able so slow down and breathe each moment in, to be apart of something so special, scaled down, de-fluffed. But it was also a very scary time, with lots of dead ends, unanswered questions, lonliness and losses. We made it through the bad parts, and relished in the good ones. 2021 doesn’t bring a new world, a safe place where nothing bad will happen, it doesn’t erase or reset all... the terrible things that we endured. I could study the light on a woman’s neck and collarbone for hours. The pools of shadows collecting below the creamy rounded peaks, skin pulled tight against the frame underneath. That look Cate & Bryce, moments after their vows, walking back down aisle from their ceremony, for the first time, as husband and wife. Almost ready to deliver this bohemian dreamscape, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally share!

What an absolute honour it was to be asked by @rianalisbeth to photograph her family when she was here on the island this fall. An illlustrious and badass photographer herself, she specializes in intimate portraiture & self love. (@rianalisbethstudios - check her out!) Her work is incredible and her smile is contagious. She’s boss by every definition and I have to admit - It’s absolutely nerve wracking to photograph someone you respect so much. She even asked if we could shoot on film, so, boom. Embracing the early mornings and that yummy morning light. I’m always a sucker for sunset (who isn’t?) but sunrise is a whole different kind of magic. There’s a new energy as the world wakes up and the light in the sky grows instead of fading away. So....are you a morning person? Would you do a sunrise session with me or tell me to take a hike?? It’s almost too good to be true to witness a sunrise AND a sunset in one day - and I HIGHLY reccomend giving it a try.

SURPRISE! That look just gets me This surprise engagement was so much fun to pull off, she had no idea! We disguised the shoot as couples session in the sunflowers for my portfolio - and BAM! He popped the question. Funnily enough, I met these two through a giveaway for a couples session I did last season, and now here we are, shooting their actual engagement Special shout-out to @rileyrebitt for organizing and pulling this off, and for having me there to capture every second. So incredibly happy for these two and honoured to be apart of such a special moment!

LOVERS IN A DANGEROUS TIME | Coral & Myles I left these two last night with such an elevated mood! I usually have a whole set of prompts to direct my couples, but I didn't even use ONE with these two honeybees. From the moment we met, their giant smiles were genuine and their chemistry was magnetic and DAMN it was truly a pleasure to witness such a warm and passionate love in BLOOM.
