2014 Arctic cat El Tigre 6000. Had to get new cases for the engine after the piston skirt broke off and broke a chunk off

Another basket case that came in for us to rebuild. Customer thought he could just replace the piston and cylinder himself, but found out it’s a little more involved than that. We ended up taking it right down to the crank to check this 22year old engine out.. it’s a good job, cause the seals were shot and the engine would have popped another top end. This is why we tell customers on an older machine, you need to do a complete tear down to check over everything and usually replace the crank seals.
