Don’t forget to thank a farmer! This thanksgiving we decided to make our meal entirely from local produce, made with love in Southern Georgian Bay. We got our fresh turkey (a whopping 20lbsder!) and fresh bread from @nicholynfarms, carrots, potatoes, oignons and beets from Rice’s family farm on Ellery’s Sideroad, cheese (yes imported though) from the Cheese Guy in Elmvale and some sweets we picked up from the Harvest Festival @saintemarieamongthehurons. It will be a feast ...to remember! Happy Thanksgiving! Curious to know where you like to shop for local produce. Do you know an amazing farm? Thank them!

We remember the harm that was done by Canada's Residential School system, which had a profound effect on generations of indigenous people. We wear are shirts proudly, so we never forget. The annual Orange Shirt Day on September 30th opens the door to global conversation on all aspects of Residential Schools. It is an opportunity to create meaningful discussion about the effects of Residential S...chools and the legacy they have left behind. A discussion all Canadians can tune into and create bridges with each other for reconciliation. A day for survivors to be reaffirmed that they matter, and so do those that have been affected.
