Getting ready for a season of intimate weddings full of details inspired by late summer and autumn's beauty

Who inspires your creative side? For us, weddings and events are an opportunity to visually express the unique ideas and values that are cherished by each event's reason for being. --- When designing for ourselves though, it gives me time to reflect on what I've learnt and incorporate it into making something new. If this were like an academic paper I used to write, I would cite the references for these ideas. When it comes to events, it may be overlooked, but it's important... to talk about what influences your work. --- So, in this arrangement I was thinking about: the way @putnamflowers uses high points and negative space, the way @sinclairandmoore uses fruiting foliage, @freshbyleanne arrangements from a few weeks ago with feverfew added throughout in clusters that looked bright and happy, and @ksjaar use of light and work exploring the tiny details of florals like the bug bitten leaves. --- Those are the people I directly thought of while working on this, but my thanks goes out to all of the talented people who keep creating, posting, and sharing their work that leaves us feeling inspired. The resting bouquet shot is one of my favourite detail photos from weddings. On a day that can be so busy, it's like a still life painting that grounds the moment. Today's hand tied bouquets may not be for a wedding, but we still made them with that same appreciation for the seasonal beauty of summer.
