Have you ever been to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina? If you haven’t I would suggest you put it on your list of places to see. Wow! Biltmore was built for George Washington Vanderbilt II. The home first began receiving guests Christmas Eve of 1895. The estate has 250 rooms , 35 bedrooms , 43 washrooms and three kitchens. Happy Easter everyone. Hope you enjoyed this blessed days. Given whats going on us these days, its time to stop and enjoy the simple things in life. For me, Im enjoying Mother Nature and all its beauty. Listening to the bluejays alerting the others as I fill their feeder with peanuts. Seeing my rhubarb plants peeping their heads out of the earth. The grass turning green. We take so many things for granted. I recall a friend of my family saying to me stop and smell the roses. I can certainly resonate with that now as I was always rushing around in order to get everything done. I wasnt enjoying my life. Lets take this time of social distancing and staying at home to enjoy ones life. Im enjoying from a distance my granddaughter holding a 3 day old chick. Life doesnt get much sweeter! Happy Easter!

When life hands you lemons and oranges make Christmas decorations! I attempted to find dehydrated oranges to no avail, so decided to make my own. Pulled out my dehydrator and started the process. The United Way 2019 Holiday House Tour is fast approaching! Its Friday Nov 15th and Sat Nov 16th. You can obtain tickets by contacting the United Way or you can purchase them in Milton @ Springridge , Bergsma Paint & Decor and the Mohawk Inn & Conference Centre. As for Georgetown you can purchase them @ Emerald Isle Home Decor, Timeless Decor , Vanderburgh flowers , Dini & Co. and A Home Inspired. Halton Hills : Silvercreek Coffee Bar and Forever Youngsters in Acton. This... year the United Way has made a few changes to the tour. There is still the Friday night Limo Tour as well as the self guided tour on Saturday. The big change is that Milton and Halton Hills have now merged , so should you want to attend both Milton and Halton Hills House Tour you can purchase a combo ticket. Otherwise you can still purchase the ticket for one location. This is my favourite time of the year and look forward to seeing the inspiration of the homes decorated for the Holiday season. Attended a lovely Victorian Tea @ the Heritage building in support of Pack a bag for a friend Foundation.. The Police Auxiliary with their white gloves on served us our High Tea. Certainly a lovely way to spend an afternoon! Great food, music and company! Definitely will be there next year!

I had been given a 2018 calendar that was called Spirit Animals. The pictures were great and I thought they would make a perfect art collage for my grandsons birthday gift. Let alone I was recycling too! The pictures were 12 by 12 so I was able to locate six black picture frames @ Michaels and voila a perfect collage for my grandsons room. The difficulty was trying to narrow down what six pictures would I choose. ... Pleased with the overall finished project. Its a perfect gift for his bedroom walls. As he grows he will hopefully learn more about the animals and develop an appreciation for them.

Popped into Artages open house yesterday. Great selection of wall units, glass tables, along with some new wood tables . One can order items custom made. Dining room chairs will be coming soon to their location! Worth the drive!

Great office space, filled with a Hekman desk, a Stickley chair, black and white check drapery , mirror with a gold & silver technique and finished off with a silk carpet. Now to work!

Home needed a little curb appeal. The first picture below lacked the curb appeal to attract buyers. With a tight budget we ordered custom window shutters ( custom due to the window size) , found some fantastic priced shrubs and perennials and finished off with a wagon wheel. Quite pleased with the transformation.
